Beginning on Sunday, March 13th, SCC will enter a season of no programming other than our weekly worship gathering at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday.  We are doing this to help our church family get back to the basics of what we, the Church, should be about.  We will be studying about who God is, who we are as His people, and how we should live as individuals and as a church family in light of this.

We will have study guides that go along with the weekly sermons to assist everyone in hearing from God.  We encourage couples and families to do this study TOGETHER each week.  This is an opportunity for men to step up in the leadership in their homes and parents to take greater responsibility in the spiritual development of their children.

This is a journey of trusting the Holy Spirit to guide us to discover the next steps that God has for us.  Our worship-only emphasis will last until at least April 24th, which is Easter Sunday.  Our leadership will be prayerfully brainstorming and meeting to determine the next steps of ministry we will be taking as a church.

Please be in prayer for our church family, our leadership, and the future impact our church can have on the community in which God has placed us in.

Wednesday, March 9th, will be our last youth groups night until May while we “fast” from busyness as a church through the rest of March and April.  Our elementary kids will have a “pizza and pajama party” while our teenagers will study about how our worship can be a great witness to non-believers.  Dinner will be served for $2/person from 5:45-6:30 PM.  Youth groups will last from 7-8 PM.
